The Thomas Marinaro Quartet comprises exceptional musicians who exhibit remarkable chemistry throughout their performances. Mark Marinaccio, a skilled pianist, vocalist, composer, and music educator, will undoubtedly impress us all with his creativity and beautiful music. Local bassist and music educator Paul Yates will lay down the groove with his tasteful and funky bass lines. Devin Kelly, a freelance percussionist, educator, and the owner of DPk Records & WNY Drum rental, will complete the rhythm section with his evident passion for playing the drums, delivering some of the most tasteful drumming in Buffalo. Thomas Marinaro will lead the group with his saxophones, showcasing his deep love for performing and creating music with his bandmates. He lives and breathes music, holding a master’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia under the mentorship of Bruce Johnstone. Following his college years, Tom furthered his jazz and saxophone studies with Buffalo’s own versatile musician, composer, and educator, Dave Schiavone.

Tom has dedicatedly honed his skills in both music performance and education, serving as a music instructor for the past 16 years. Currently, he imparts his knowledge in instrumental music to 4th-grade students at Maple East Elementary in Williamsville and Country Parkway Elementary. Tom’s saxophone melodies have resonated across various venues in Buffalo, from the Lewiston Jazz Festival to intimate spaces like Pausa Art House. While he has shared the stage with the iconic O’Jays, his most prominent collaborations include projects with Mark Marinaccio and Friends, the Thomas Marinaro Quartet, and his latest endeavor as part of the Joey Gonzalez Collective.
