The Fredtown Stompers are a group of Western New York jazz musicians who perform traditional jazz pieces from the 1920s and 1930s.
We deliver that Hot Jazz swing with a New Orleans Traditional Jazz vibe. We’re former winners of JazzBuffalo’s 2016 Most Memorable Performance award. The Fredtown Stompers originated in 2006 at the back of Coughlan’s Pub in Fredonia, NY, formed by college students who played for their passion for music and, naturally, free beer. The ensemble has evolved, with members coming and going, but the group’s spirit endures. Our mission is to preserve and celebrate the early roots of jazz.
