Tim Bohen, author of Emerald Thread: The Irish in Buffalo. will give a talk entitled “How the South Buffalo Irish Shaped Our City and Nation” at the Cazenovia Neighborhood Library, 155 Cazenovia St., Buffalo, NY 14210.
Bohen will share the inspiring stories of Buffalo’s Irish men and women politicians, writers, athletes, entertainers, journalists, military heroes, and philanthropists who have shaped our community. From the first baseball World Series to the Battle of Midway, from the Stanley Cup to the Olympics, and even to Hollywood’s bright lights and the halls of Congress, the South Buffalo Irish have made their mark on history and led the way.
