Saint John Gualbert Church has been in existence since 1917. It was the second church in the Buffalo area to be dedicated to serving the growing Polish community at the time. We will walk through the history of the parish, starting with the land allotted to the church, and each of the nine pastors and their contributions to our growth. We will talk about our patron Saint John Gualbert, with his grief-driven actions which caused him to become a saint. We will visit the original stained glass windows (with many well-known saints), reflect at our relic shrine (containing more than 1300 relics, some are well-known saints, and some with local ties), and our hand-painted murals (which highlight 5 well-known Polish Holy men and women).

This tour meets at the church at 83 Gualbert Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14211. This is a walking tour inside the church, and will be a rain-or-shine event. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the church, a restroom, and an accessible ramp on the right-front side of the church.

This is a partnership tour – tours are led by docents from St. John Gualbert Church.
