Historically the most prestigious address in Buffalo, Delaware Avenue abounds with architectural and historic treasures. This tour features the women of Delaware Avenue: Buffalo’s Leading Ladies. You’ll learn about businesswomen, writers, actors, leaders of charitable organizations, and feminists as we explore Delaware Avenue from North Street to Virginia Street, and visit some of their former homes, social clubs, and more.
This tour meets at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site at 641 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202. Meet in front of the Site, on the Delaware Avenue side. Parking is available in the TR Site’s parking lot accessible from Franklin Street or Delaware Avenue. Please park close to the TR Site building in either the center section or along the south wall of the parking lot. This tour is approximately ninety minutes in length with about 1 mile of walking.

Tour Procedures & Policies:
- Reservations are required for all tours, including for Explorer Pass members. Walk-ups without reservations cannot be accommodated. Tours are generally limited to a maximum of 18 people per group.
- Reservations close two hours before the tour’s scheduled start time (for example, reservations close at 8am for a 10am tour).

- The Explore Buffalo docent for your tour will have a list of tour reservations for their tour; you do not need to print or bring any tour confirmation.

- Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Tours generally proceed rain or shine. In the event of weather that requires a tour cancellation, we will contact registered tour guests in advance of the tour.
