Opening Reception of “The Ice Must Flow”

International award-winning photographer, Christopher Behrend, will host a premiere screening of his short film, “The Ice Must Flow,” featuring aerial footage of Lake Erie during its most active season in winter.

The Winesmith on Main Street, Buffalo, will feature and sell Behrend’s work until January 8th, following the November 17th opening and film screening. Behrend will also be offering limited-edition copies of his hard-cover photography book of the same name, “The Ice Must Flow.”

“A year in the making, created from over a decade of original footage, this film brings together immense formations of ice, light, texture, movement, and atmosphere revealing a landscape continually shaped and transformed by nature,” Behrend says, “This fourteen-minute video will be displayed with a 4k projector, illuminating phenomenal detail of Lake Erie and the art of icescapes as you’ve never seen it before.”
