Join traditional Tuscarora beadwork artist Tina Mt. Pleasant (Tuscarora Nation, Turtle Clan) for a hands-on workshop presented in collaboration with the Birchfield Penney Art Center. Participants will learn the fundamentals of traditional Haudenosaunee beadwork while creating a beaded bracelet featuring symbolic, traditional Haudenosaunee designs.

Participants will choose from one of three bracelet templates, making the project accessible to a range of skill levels while offering opportunities for personal creativity. Through step-by-step instruction, attendees will learn foundational beadwork techniques and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry, history, and cultural significance of Haudenosaunee beadwork traditions.

Tina Mt. Pleasant is a Haudenosaunee artist from the Tuscarora Nation (Turtle Clan) who began beading at the age of five. With decades of experience, she specializes in traditional Haudenosaunee beadwork and is dedicated to sharing the knowledge, techniques, and cultural traditions of her craft with new generations.
