Gilded Age Walking Tour

Former Buffalo resident, Mark Twain, coined the phrase “Gilded Age” as he referred to the late 19th Century in America, a time which was characterized by rapid industrialization, unprecedented economic growth, and a veneer of wealth masking significant social and economic inequalities.  Enjoy a walk around Forest Lawn to explore the stories of affluent families and notable individuals from Buffalo who were connected to this significant time in history.
