Exhibit Opening – “The Story of the Stars & Stripes”

The Black Rock Historical Society celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with an exhibit detailing the evolution of the U.S. flag as it reflected the growth of and character of our nation. Our exhibit joins Erie County’s America 250 celebration as we engage the community through educational and cultural programming as well as promote reflection on the lasting impact of this historic event.

Our storyboard display features images of historic American flags, maps illustrating the expansion of the United States, and iconic works of art and photographs that illustrate the history and symbolism of the American flag.

This is a free event and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
