Educators’ Workshop-Spotlight on Natvar Bhavsar: Free Yourself

Join us for a tour and artmaking that focuses on the special exhibition, Natvar Bhavsar: Free Yourself, with Manager of School & Tour Programs Lindsay Kranz and Gallery Teacher Hannah Cappuccino. 

This exhibition invites viewers to meditate on the power of pure color. Natvar Bhavsar’s art shows that colors can express feelings just as strongly as words can, welcoming viewers to slow down, breathe, and experience the mood of the work. His artworks often look like glowing clouds or fields of color which is a result of his unique approach of using dry pigment with acrylic binder.

Participants will explore the exhibition while connecting to curriculum and social and emotional learning within the classroom, followed by artmaking in the museum’s studio space. CTLE credit will be available.
