Cottage District Walking Tour

This tour will explore “Little” Summer St, Ketchum Place and Jersey St. “Little” Summer is home to 15 small brick cottages, built by English Immigrants, between 1855-1870. These charming and quaint cottages create a neighborhood that is truly unique in the City of Buffalo. Additionally, the area is well known for its beautiful English gardens and is featured during Buffalo’s Garden Walk.

The tour will meet on the corner of Richmond Ave and Jersey St. Use 60 Richmond Avenue in Google Maps. There is ample parking on Richmond Ave and surrounding city streets. The tour is approximately one hour in length.

Tour Procedures & Policies: 

• Reservations are required for all tours, including for Explorer Pass members. Walk-ups without reservations cannot be accommodated. This tour is limited to a maximum of 12 people per group. 
  • Reservations close two hours before the tour’s scheduled start time (for example, reservations close at 8am for a 10am tour). 
  • To redeem an orange Explore Buffalo walking tour pass, please email [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your tour. 
  • The Explore Buffalo docent for your tour will have a list of tour reservations for their tour; you do not need to print or bring any tour confirmation.

• Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Tours generally proceed rain or shine. In the event of weather that requires a tour cancellation, we will contact registered tour guests in advance of the tour.
