Join us at the Donna M Fernandes Amphibian and Reptile Center for an engaging look into the Buffalo Zoo’s herpetology conservation efforts and the vital role these species play in our ecosystem. Learn from our own Brad Poynter about our ongoing conservation projects, key partnerships, and recent successes supporting amphibians and reptiles, including Cora mud turtles, Puerto Rican crested toads, Eastern Massasauga rattlesnakes, wood turtles, Blanding’s turtles, and more. Guests will also be introduced to many new amphibian and reptile species added to the Zoo’s collection in the past year.
The program will highlight how these efforts are making a real impact locally and beyond, while offering simple ways guests can support conservation initiatives both right here in Western New York and around the world.
Doors open at 6:30PM and presentation begins at 7:00PM
