Kelly Elaine Navies, Museum Specialist in Oral History at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), will offer a workshop on designing and implementing a community oral history workshop from start to finish. She will offer templates for defining a community and writing a project proposal. Navies will also share examples from community-based oral history projects.
