Buffalo Heritage Carousel Kicks Off Spring Break

Spring break in Buffalo gets a festive start as the Solar-Powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel reopens Friday, April 3, at Canalside, offering an affordable, family-friendly activity for individuals of all ages. 

Housed inside the KeyBank Roundhouse, the fully restored 1924 carousel is one of only five solar-powered carousels in the world and a uniquely Buffalo experience at the waterfront.

Friday, April 3 (10 a.m.&6 p.m.) Opening Day

• Free rides from 10 a.m. to noon (courtesy of the City of Buffalo Fillmore District)

• Easter Bunny visits: 10 a.m. to noon, 2&4 p.m.

• Face painting (free for riders): noon&2 p.m.

• Free popcorn and 20% off select toys and candy (30% for members)

Saturday, April 4 (10 a.m.&7 p.m.) Buffalo Bandits Spirit Day

• Wear Bandits gear for buy-one, get-one rides

• Easter Bunny visits and face painting
