Oktoberfest season reveals colorful leaves AND colorful stories of Buffalo’s rich brewing history at the United German & French Cemetery. You will also hear stories about maltsters, distillers, Prohibition figures, and the origin stories of some of our iconic food.

The tour begins next to the yellow brick United German & French Cemetery Facilities building on the west side of Pine Ridge Heritage Boulevard, 0.7 miles south of the Kensington Expressway or 0.1 miles north of Genesee Street. Pull off the street and alongside the cemetery fence to park. There are no restrooms at the cemetery; the closest restrooms are at the Mount Calvary offices (0.7 miles north) or Tim Horton’s (0.1 miles south).
