2026 Makers & Masters Speaker Series – Haudenosaunee Beadwork

Grant Jonathan (Tuscarora Nation, Bear Clan) will present the history of Tuscarora raised beadwork, drawing on oral histories, historic images, and examples of beadwork past and present and currently on exhibit.  Learn how to distinguish Tuscarora, Seneca and Mohawk beadwork designs, the process involved in making beadwork, and how these creations were greatly sought after by American tourists from Montreal to Niagara Falls.

This is a free event and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.
