Ted’s Hot Dogs – Tonawanda
Tonawanda, NY 14150
Ted’s Hot Dogs was founded in 1927 by Greek immigrant Theodore Spiro Liaros, who started selling hot dogs from a horse-drawn cart before opening a stand beneath Buffalo’s Peace Bridge. In 1948, Ted’s expanded to Sheridan Drive. Today, the business is still family owned, and its eight locations and food truck (known as the “Charcoal Chariot”) are widely recognized for its classic charcoal-broiled hot dogs, signature chili sauce and handmade onion rings, along with burgers, sausages and terrific fries.
