Buffalo Silver Band

The Buffalo Silver Band has been part of Buffalo’s cultural scene since 1915. A 30-piece British style brass band, we perform four formal concerts and about 10 other shows every year in the Western New York region. Our repertoire spans from Broadway to Latin Jazz, to concert pieces written especially for this style band and even an occasional march! Venues include UB, Canisius University, and the Chautauqua Institute. We work closely with the community, offering an annual scholarship to a talented high school student and giving workshops at high schools.

British Brass Band style tradition in its instrumentation and music, composed entirely of brass instruments and percussion. The repertoire is from an extensive library of music written and arranged for brass bands.

The band plays concerts for charitable causes, summer town park programs and other benefit and community performances. The band’s members are talented professional and amateur musicians from all walks of life who donate their services.
