Alethea’s Chocolates draws locals and tourists alike with handmade small-batch confections and an old-fashioned soda fountain featuring ice cream treats and housemade sauces. Its history begins in Greece with great-grandmother Alethea, followed by the opening of Garden of Sweets on Bailey Avenue in the mid-1960s. In 1979, the Tassy family purchased an estate in Williamsville and opened it in 1985 as the iconic chocolate factory, candy shop and ice cream parlor we know today.
