Adolf’s Old First Ward Tavern

Adolf’s Old First Ward Tavern has been a fixture of Buffalo’s First Ward since 1934, when Adolf Baron opened the bar to serve Irish immigrants working the nearby grain silos. Known for its excellent wings, house-made bleu cheese, fresh-cut fries, beef on ‘weck and fish fry, Adolf’s remains a favorite among the regulars who prize its friendly service and extensive beer selection. The pub’s current owners bought the bar in 2014 and remain committed to its longstanding role as a cornerstone of its First Ward neighborhood.
