Parkside Candy – Buffalo

Featured in the 1983 Robert Redford film, “The Natural,” Parkside Candy may feel like a movie set, but its roots date back to 1919, when Mr. and Mrs. George Kaiser first opened a small candy store. Over time, their vision of a fantastic, more modern shop began to take shape, and Buffalo architect Morton Wolfe was hired to design a new store. Today, its same finishes and iconic oval sales floor are still the perfect backdrop for Parkside’s classic candy assortment, including sponge candy, truffles, old-school lollipops, and taffy. A perfectly preserved soda fountain offering hand-dipped ice cream confections invites you want to cozy up in the shop’s unforgettable sweetheart booth.
