Elmwood Taco & Subs

Buffalo’s Elmwood Taco and Subs was founded in 1975 by Ron Lucchino, who opened the shop at the corner of Elmwood and West Delavan at age 18. ETS was first known for serving craveable, affordable late-night eats. Mexican pizza, sausage subs (made “all the way”), perfect waffle fries and housemade hot sauces are just a few of ETS’s signatures. A relocation to 937 Elmwood Avenue in 2010 added a drive-thru. The business was bought by Mike and Jackie Lucchino in 2019. Over the years, ETS has evolved into a distinct Buffalo food experience that many expats long for.
