Duff’s Famous Wings – Amherst

Duff’s Famous Wings opened in 1946 as a neighborhood tavern, founded by Louise Duffney. Chicken wings were added to its menu in 1969 and eventually became the restaurant’s primary focus (though its fries have easily earned a coveted second place). By 1985, the restaurant updated its name to Duff’s Famous Wings. Now led by third-generation owner Joe Duff, the family business is known for its consistency and heat scale (since its “medium” is famously hot), as well as its successful operation of locations in both the U.S. and Canada.
