Healing by the Water presents “The Drum”

The season finale of the Healing by the Water live music series will take place on Thursday, September 10 (at 5pm). Over the course of the summer, Freedom Park has come alive with sounds by some of the region’s most regarded musicians, thanks to the efforts of the all-volunteer group, Friends of Freedom Park.

The summer series will now conclude with “The Drum” & to honor the escaped slaves that made their way to this parcel of land along the Niagara River, as they were seeking freedom in Canada.

Event participants are encouraged to bring their own drums, and to dress in all white for this free event that will include local vendors and community groups, with the sensational backdrop of the Niagara River.

The drumming session will be a “spirit infused gathering, full of fellowship and togetherness.”
