Buffalo Arts Studio is excited to present the Tri-Main Center Art Crawl ft. Music is Art on Friday, July 24, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, part of M&T Fourth Friday at Tri-Main.
Partnering with local art organizations within the Tri-Main Center, visitors are invited to experience the many artistic and creative practices all under its one roof all on the same night. Explore fifteen resident spaces within the building, including artist studios, exhibitions on display at Buffalo Arts Studio and Squeaky Wheel, poetry, creative spaces, and more. Guests will also be able to enjoy live music provided by Music is Art.
Tenants that will be opening their doors for the Art Crawl include ArtsWork by People Inc. (Suite 253), Mundo Images (Suite 255), Squeaky Wheel (Suite 310), Poetic Art Studio (Suite 419), Eat Off Art (Suite 441), Great Arrow Graphics (Suite 457), Black Rose Production House (Suite 460), and Sleeps Studio (Suite 509). Additionally, independent artist studios in the building will also be opening and include Chantal Calato (Suite 408), Bill Koch (Suite 505), Dorothy Keller (Suite 545), and David Derner (Suite 551). Guests can also check out shared studio spaces from Gretchen Berwick, Allyson Hilton, Ginny O’Brien, and Darcie Rosinski in Suite 546, and from Valerie Fahey, Barbara Hart, Rosie Molek, and Jennifer Potter in Suite 553.
Buffalo Arts Studio will have three exhibitions on display in Suite 500: “Slow Looking” by Rachel Shelton, “Erratic” by Warren Quigley, and “Propagation and Endurance” by Deborah Stewart. Accompanying will be musical sets by Sara Elizabeth, Pr0 Social, and Jade Marciniak, provided through Music is Art. Music is Art’s mission is to use music and art to create opportunities, foster a sense of community, and provide access to creative outlets in Western New York.
Tri-Main Art Crawl Passports will be available to encourage guests to visit participating tenants. Pick one up in the lobby, collect stamps from all 15 tenants, and turn it in at Buffalo Arts Studio for a free drink of your choice! Buffalo Arts Studio will also be holding a raffle to win an original artwork generously donated from the private collection of Buffalo Arts Studio founder, Joanna Angie. Raffle tickets will be available for $10 each, and a winner will be chosen and notified at the end of the night.
